Dutch top-artist Lange Frans posted this morning critical Tweets about the interference of the Netherlands in the fight against Islamic State (IS). According to former rapper, The Netherlands should not interfere with the situation. “Do you know how to prevent attacks in the Netherlands; No war abroad. ”

The DJ of radio Slam FM thinks that the Netherlands shouldn’t interfere in the war with IS. They have nothing to find and to do with them: “To people we do not know, have done nothing to us and probably want to lead a normal life.”

British Muslims are used to regular attacks by Islamophobes posing as sub-standard journalists but disgraced Katie Hopkins’ latest outburst has hit a new low and offended thousands of British Muslims.  She made vile and false accusations in a tweet against the Prophet Muhammad (saw), a copy of the screen shot is above. This ’new low’ for Katie comes just weeks after she tweeted messages about cupcakes and guns during Ramadan disparaging Muslims who were fasting through the month and ridiculing Islam.

Saudi football fan beaten by security after rushing field

A security guard’s beating of a Saudi football fan who rushed the field during a match in Riyadh on Tuesday prompted some Twitter users to cry foul. The Arabic hashtag for “Hilali fan’s beating(link is external)” reached nearly half a million uses in less than a day. The fan was reportedly a supporter of Saudi’s “Al-Hilal” team, which was playing(link is external) against Qatar’s “Al-Sadd”.

The incident was caught on video from multiple angles and shows a security guard kicking the fan and hitting him in the head with a baton after he walked off the field and stopped running.

John Legend’s Twitter comments about the American government’s involvement in the Israel-Gaza conflict were met with the now familiar contrast of applause and distain.

The latest in an ever-growing line of famous faces passing comment on the worsening violence in the Middle East via social media, the singer/songwriter posted the following on US Secretary of State John Kerry’s recent attempts to broker a ceasefire deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians:

“So sick watching our Secretary of State have to grovel so hard to tell Israel how much he loves them while Israeli cabinet shits on him.”

A SOCIAL media trend #WomenAgainstFeminism is creating controversy overseas, going viral in the US and re-opening debate on how far women have really come.

The movement originated from a Tumblr post in which photos have been posted of women holding up signs explaining why they don’t need feminism.

The explanations vary from “I do like being feminine”, “catcalling isn’t rape”, “cooking for my husband is not oppression”, “I love to be sexy for my man”, to “I don’t need something that tells me the actions of a slut are okay”.

A Palestinian teenager is using social media to give a devastatingly frightening insight into the situation in Gaza.

16-year-old Farah Baker, who goes under the name Farah Gazan on Twitter, is amassing thousands of followers and re-tweets on Twitter after sharing a night of her private terror from her bedroom as rockets fell through Gaza overnight.

“I might die tonight,” she wrote.

The teenager tweets furiously between attacks; posting video footage and sound grabs of bombs and missiles as they fly through the air and hit unsuspecting targets.
