BISMILLĀHIR RAHMĀNIR RAHĪM
Glory to Allāh and Salutations on Rasulullāh Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam.
Allāh Subhānahu wa Ta’ala with His infinite Mercy has endowed us with numerous bounties. Out of all these bounties the biggest and the most significant is that of Imān. It is imperative that we value this bounty and protect it by bringing complete Deen in our life.
Status of the Qur’an

In modern times, we have become wonted to living on our own; as if God does not exist. Many of us feel that religion is no longer apposite; books of religious teachings have been replaced by modern books of science and “progressive” thinking. The Qur’an – Is it relevant today? Or has it gone into the oblivions of the past as have many other books?
And the Messenger has said, “O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur’an as [a thing] abandoned.”(Al-Furqān, 25:30)
How many of us would like that to happen on the Day of Judgement? He left behind the the word of God, the sempiternal miracle, the words of Allah
between our hands, and we have simply left it on shelves to collect dust!
Advice on Interactions with Others
It is reported that ‘Umar b. Al-Khattab May Allah be pleased with him – said:
Whoever exposes himself to suspicion, let him blame only himself for whoever suspects him.
He who covers his secret is in a position to choose [to correct himself].
Assume the best about your brother until what comes to you from him overcomes you [and you have to change your opinion].
iERA: Against Racism – Against Hatred (Video)
The Islamic Education & Research Academy (iERA) launched its anti-racism campaign called “Against Racism, Against Hatred” in Brixton, a suburb in south London, UK. The community event commenced at the Brixton Recreation Centre with a motivational talk from iERA’s chairman, Abdurraheem Green. This was then followed by training of 20 or so attendees from Hamza Tzortzis, Head of Education and Research at iERA on how to give dawah and approach members of the public with a survey questionnaire on racism and Islamophobia. All in all, the day was a success as the survey idea (first pioneered by the Myriad Foundation in Manchester, may Allah bless them and reward their efforts) worked very well in opening up friendly dialogue and discussion. iERA hopes this will be the start of bigger and better activities challenging the evil notion of racism, God willing.
LADDER OF SUCCESS – STRUGGLE

وَٱلَّذِينَ جَاهَدُواْ فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَمَعَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
And they who struggle for Us, We will surely guide them to Our paths
And, indeed, Allah is surely with those who live in Ihsaan.
Surah al Ankabut: Ayah 69
The Ultimate Real and True – Allah, the majestic, says: “Those who struggle for Us…
He, the sublimely Exalted, does not elaborate on what they stuggle for – thus opening the vast scope of this verse to any struggle against one’s base self, against evil insinuations and against those who oppose goodness and morality – as long as the intent of the struggle is seeking Allah sincerely and with means that befit a struggle in Allah’s cause.
To such as these, Allah, the Exalted, promises emphatically, guidance and facilitation to His nearness.
Our great scholars and saints have explored the myriad meanings of these words. Some of these gems…
وعن الداراني: والذين جاهدوا بأن عملوا بما علموا، لنهدينهم إلى علم ما لم يعلموا.
They who struggle to act based on what they know, We will surely guide them to knowledge that they do not know. (Ad Daarani’, may Allah subhaanahu wa ta’ala shower His mercy on him)
A mother cannot be replaced by anyone!
By: Mufti Menk
We MUST value our mothers before they are taken away. It is an obligation to be respectful towards them, say kind words to them & appreciate everything they have done & continue doing for us! A meal prepared at home by “mum” is far more valuable & blessed than tens of other meals even if it is plain & simple! Once we marry, although life changes drastically, the status of a mum should never be forgotten. Success lies in appreciating those closest to us!
Fox News Finally Loses It: Uses ‘Success’ of Japanese Internment Camps to Advocate Profiling Muslims (Video)

While it doesn’t exactly shock me, I’m appalled at what I just watched. On Fox News’ Cashin’ In, Eric Bolling and his four person panel decided to tackle the “most controversial” topic ever discussed on the show.
The topic: Should we profile Muslims?
