Attacks on Muslim women across Logan and Brisbane have prompted Muslims and Christians to join at the Kuraby Mosque on Friday to call for others from the two faiths to stand together in solidarity.
In a press release issued this afternoon, Christian leaders said they were concerned about recent attacks on women from the Muslim community and that the release of an affirmation was the first step in strengthening ties between the faiths.

Germany’s Muslim community staged the rallies on Friday as part of the campaign Muslims Standing Against Hate and Injustice aimed at renouncing all kinds of violence and raise awareness for growing racism.

A baby was delivered at al-Aqsa hospital in Gaza last Thursday. That should not be news; babies are born all the time. What was remarkable about this birth is that the child’s mother had been killed by the Israeli military.
The delivery of this child is a testament to the professionalism and dedication of the hospital’s staff. Three days earlier, Israel attacked the hospital with tank shells. At least five Palestinians were reported dead.
