The Prophet’s Way of Correcting People’s Mistakes

We live in an age where judging others has become the norm and mocking people for their mistakes has become a huge pastime. While some of us might do it unintentionally, others might fall into this out of ignorance or even arrogance. Calling ourselves the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad comes with certain responsibilities. One such responsibility is correcting people’s mistakes.
Calling ourselves the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad comes with certain responsibilities. One such responsibility is correcting people’s mistakes.
Quite often in this quest of learning the deen and implementing it in our lives, we become over judgemental of our own brothers and sisters. Instead of correcting their mistakes, we pass fatwas, turning them further away from the beauty of this deen. It is important to understand and realize that this deen is easy and beautiful, and correcting people’s mistakes should also be done in a beautiful manner.
“There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern (example) for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often.” 1
Helping the Ummah

Globally the Muslim Ummah is in a crisis. From Australia in the south to Canada in the north, from China in east to USA in the west we find Islamophobia raising its venomous head. The “War on Terror”, persecution, oppression, discrimination, etc against innocent and peace loving Muslims has become the order of the day. The raining of missiles on families in Palestine-Gaza , the merciless killing of innocent civilians in Syria, ethnic cleansing in Myanmar, torture and rape in Afghanistan and Iraq, the banning of niqaab in France, war in Somalia, Chechnya etc. The list is extensive.
As Muslims we should not turn a blind eye and be apathetic to the sufferings of millions of our fellow brothers and sisters globally. We should not only feel the pain in our hearts, but should constructively engage ourselves in physically assisting the Ummah with whatever means we have at our disposal.
Allah Ta’ala says in the Noble Qur’aan: “ Indeed, Muslims are brothers.”(Qur’an: Al Hujurat:10)
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) has emphatically stated that “No one of you becomes a true believer until he likes for his brother what he likes for himself”.(Hadith-Bukhari & Muslims)
We are ONE UMMAH, if the finger feels a pain the whole body feels the pain. It is our duty to share the pain, responsibilities, burdens and needs of our fellow brothers and sisters. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “The example of Muslims in their mutual love, mercy and sympathy is like that of a body; if one of the organs is afflicted, the whole body responds with sleeplessness and fever.”(Hadith-Muslim)

Story of a former Islamophobic Christian’s conversion to Islam!
Not very long ago, I was preparing myself to be a Christian soldier against Islam, fighting with my words, not by force. Having been raised in a Southern Baptist home, with church-going protestant parents and an obsessive love of expressing myself through writing, I had all the assurance I needed that God had lined my life up in such a way to fulfill this plan. My mission had three parts: investigate Islam, devote my life to writing and circulating every bad and corrupt thing I found in Islam, and ultimately destroy Islam. I plotted and planned and my confidence in the quest for Christ grew tremendously. All the while God was plotting as well, preparing to send into my path a very important person to help save me from the mess I was creating.
The Deen Show: Story of a Miracle and how to heal a Broken Heart – Famous Actor Robin Williams (Video)
This is an interesting story about what I considered a Miracle right under my nose. Many people have experienced the same thing happening to them but some times we take these things for granted and don’t really reflect about these amazing blessings in our lives so that we can gain tremendous benefits by becoming more grateful and thankful in life. I’ll also be talking about the Broken Heart that many people are suffering from which in turn drives them towards Alcohol, Drugs, and further into despair and eventually suicide as we just witnessed with the famous Actor Robin Williams. Please Enjoy and share.
