Turkey’s Prime Minister Caught Arming al-Qaeda, ISIS

 Turkey’s prime minister, a NATO ally, is shipping arms to al-Qaeda and ISIS via Syria-bound trucks operated by the country’s intelligence agency, according to Turkish military officials. Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu banned media from reporting on three of the trucks searched by the military’s Gendarmerie General Command, which discovered 45 to 55 missiles or rockets, 30 to 40 crates of ammunition, including mortar rounds, and Douchka anti-aircraft ammunition.

US aid to Israel has been blocked by Republican senators, who have concerns that support for America’s “number one ally” would increase the country’s debt. The aid, worth $225 million for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defence system, was included in a proposed “border aid bill” worth a total of $2.7 billion, which was also intended to help fight wildfires in America’s Western states.

On Monday afternoon, Reid, a member of the Democratic Party, warned that the Obama administration’s $225 million request to aid Israel during its current war may not be enough, as the Zionist regime continues to massacre Palestinians in Gaza.

Israel has been relentlessly pounding the besieged territory for 21 days. More than 1,050 Palestinians have been killed and thousands wounded, including women and children. In retaliation, Palestinian resistance fighters have fired rockets into Israel.

The Israeli military is now threatening to escalate its war on the coastal enclave by warning Palestinians in areas around the Gaza City to leave their homes.

Major carriers suspended their flights from and to Israel for two days following a rocket attack on Tuesday [EPA]

Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, has announced it shelled Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport with three rockets, the second attack in a week on the Israel’s main international airport.

An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed that rockets were fired towards the airport from the Gaza Strip on Friday.

“We can confirm two rockets were shot down over metropolitan Tel Aviv,” she told the AFP news agency.

It used to be said that a lie goes twice around the world before the truth has put its shoes on. Not any more. I arrived in Israel on Christmas Eve 2008, the date chosen by Israel to launch Operation Cast Lead, an attack to end all attacks on Gaza.

The tanks rolled in, killing over 1,300 people, many of them women and children, and reducing their homes, schools and hospitals to rubble. But all I heard from the media was that some Israelis were very, very scared because a few primitive rockets were being sent from Gaza into southern Israel.
