Documentary: Risking it all – Congo (Video)

info-pictogram1 Things are hopping at the road terminus in Lubumbashi in the Congo. Traders throng around the only available transport; hoping to get a lift to sell their goods in the town of Bukama.

Eugene is one of the few truckers willing to risk the notorious road.

We follow Congolese lorry drivers who must navigate their trucks, laden with goods and passengers, through jungle floods where a journey of a few hundred miles takes a month.

(Reuters) – A city in China’s restive western region of Xinjiang has banned people with head scarves, veils and long beards from boarding buses, as the government battles unrest with a policy that critics said discriminates against Muslims.

Xinjiang, home to the Muslim Uighur people who speak a Turkic language, has been beset for years by violence that the government blames on Islamist militants or separatists.

As soon as it has hit the ground, the plane split in two and in a wink filled with water. However, only a few people have heard of this huge event, because not a single person died on that plane.
