When the light of faith tries to enter

faith

By: Asmaa Hussein

“When the light of faith tries to enter sometimes it hurts – like the first moment you emerge from a dark room into the sunlight. You squint your eyes and shade your face from the sun’s intensity. But after a moment or two, you can see that whatever the light has touched has been brightened and beautified so much more than before.

In modern times, we have become wonted to living on our own; as if God does not exist. Many of us feel that religion is no longer apposite; books of religious teachings have been replaced by modern books of science and “progressive” thinking. The Qur’an – Is it relevant today? Or has it gone into the oblivions of the past as have many other books?

Allah swt  says in the Qur’an:

And the Messenger has said, “O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur’an as [a thing] abandoned.”(Al-Furqān, 25:30)

How many of us would like that to happen on the ? He SAW  left behind the the , the sempiternal miracle, the words of Allah Allah Subhanahu-wa-Taala  between our hands, and we have simply left it on shelves to collect dust!

What Muslims Should Know about their Deen

shouldknow

Source: missionislam.com

By: Habib Ahmad

Prophet Muhammad (saws) said: “Seeking Knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim.” (Related by Ibn ‘Adiyy, Al-Bayhaqi & Al-Tabarani)

Though this Hadith is known and memorised by most Muslims, the essence, the amount, and the kind of knowledge referred to in this Hadith remains misunderstood by many.

If it is true that the knowledge incumbent upon every Muslim pertains to religious knowledge, or al-‘Ilm al-Shar’i, how deeply does one have to pursue his quest of this knowledge to fulfil his duties and discharge the learning obligations placed upon him? In other words, what are the minimum teachings that every Muslim – male or female – is required to know about his Deen?

Crying washes heart’s maladies

Source: islamweb.net

It is a fact which no one can debate that crying washes out the maladies of the heart. Crying out of fear from Allaah softens the heart and cleans it from its filth. Yazeed Ibn Maysarah may Allaah have mercy upon him said: “Crying happens due to one of seven things, joy, sadness, terror, to show off, pain, gratitude and out of fear from Allaah one tear from which extinguishes as huge as oceans size of fire”

Good Cheer

Say, ‘In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy – in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate.'”

We must learn to remedy our sorrows with joy and good cheer. There are so many things that we can rejoice in. We should rejoice in our very humanity, knowing that Allah has so honoured the human being.

We should rejoice in the blessings that we have, and that we often overlook or take for granted. We should feel joy in being alive. We should rejoice in our family and loved ones, and in the provision that Allah has given us.

We should take cheer in thanking Allah for His blessings, since through our gratitude Allah will continue to bless us.

And there is no creature on the earth or bird that flies with wings except [that they are] communities like you (Qur’an 6:38).

Animals have played significant roles within the theological, artistic, legal, ethical, and literary traditions of Muslim communities. In the Qur’an, animals—unlike people—submit naturally to God: “each one knows its own prayer and praise” (24:41) and they, together with nature, constitute natural signs (ayāt) through which humans might come to know God. “The beasts of all kinds that He scatters throughout the earth … are signs for a people who are wise” (2:164), and even the smallest gnat is a parable through which God communicates with humankind (2:26).

What do the enemies of Allah SWT want from the Muslim Woman?

hijab-saman-aghvamiThere are  those who want  to distract the Muslima from meeting her noble obligations of  following the religion of Allah SWT as commanded by the Prophet Muhammad SAWS and becoming successful in the Hereafter.

Shaytan and his army use many methods to ruin a Muslima and evict her from her rightful place in Paradise, as he had done with her mother, Hawaa (Eve).
