Seeking spirituality takes one places. To accelerate the devotional progress of their souls, devout Christians head to their churches. Observant Jews find themselves en route to their synagogues. And how many a foot is laid upon the earth striding toward a temple in pursuit of the same holy reason?

Yet it is the Muslims, since centuries ago, who have been used to relinquishing the demands of their chaotic selves at the five punctuations of their stated night and day in the heavenly atmosphere of a mosque, a masjid. Its breathtaking structure speaking volumes of the architectural masterminds behind it, the bona fide objective of this divine enclosure is in no way insignificant.

Islam was never established with vengeance, killing children, murdering innocent women, slaughtering prisoners, or being intolerant of other opinions (especially Scholars). Yes, drones are killing innocents, horrible torture is being used against us, lies are being spread about our Faith, “Manchurian Candidates” and third forces are committing evil in Islam’s name but we cannot fight evil with evil or unleash terror to counter terror. It is not the way of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who countered evil with righteous strength and balanced firmness. Revenge and hatred will only produce an endless cycle of madness and chaos.”
“Wake up Muslims before its too late! We have a dignified religion and excellent examples in our past. The Lion kills to survive, not out of vengeance and hatred for other animals. That’s why he (the lion) can sleep all day and nobody will bother him!!!”

Israel bombed 161 mosques in Gaza

Israel has so far destroyed 161 mosques in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Awqaf Minister Yousef Dois said yesterday.

He said 41 mosques were completely destroyed and 120 were partially destroyed during the war adding that a number of religious institutions have also been attacked.

Dois continued by saying Israel is taking advantage of the fact that the world’s attention is on Gaza and using this to stop Muslim worshippers from gaining access to Al-Aqsa Mosque. He said rabbis are delivering provocative speeches.

14 mosques established in the first 150 years of Islam, after the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) migrated to Madina:

1. Umayyad Mosque, Damascus, Syria: 96 years after migration (AH)

The site of the Umayyad Mosque was originally a Christian church and a Roman temple prior to that. After the Muslim conquest of Syria, the church was converted into a mosque. Caliph Walid I, who oversaw its conversion, radically altered the layout of the building- a project that was completed in 715. Parts of the outer wall today still date back to the original Roman temple of Jupiter. Inside, an edifice marks the spot where John the Baptist’s (Yahya ibn Zakariyya) head is thought to be buried. A plaque has also been placed above the spot where the head of Imam Husayn (may God be pleased with him) was put on display after he was martyred at Karbala.

No matter how hard the media tries to project a violent, destructive, barbaric nature to anything “Islamic” and no matter how hard some extreme, misguided elements within Musim society try to take personal revenge through their faith ot commit revolutionary suicide, nobody can take away the tranquility of the Houses of Allah (Masjids) or the inner peace of a person who truly is submits to the the Creator of the heavens and the earth!!!” 

“Allahu-Akbar wa lillahil-Hamd!” Allah is greater than anything in the Universe and He, alone, deserves all Praise.” Reflect on the simple tranquility of this Masjid.

If Masjids could talk, they would probably cry out to Muslims

Destruction of Masjids in Gaza will not destroy Islam

As reports grow about the wanton destruction of property and the loss of innocent life, the Houses of Allah and their inhabitants are witness. May Almighty Allah help us to rebuild the masjids in Palestine, Burma, Syria, Central Africa, etc with a spirit of strength and determination to resist evil and establish righteousness throughout the earth!
