Russia: Israel is training ISIS terrorists

A top aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday accused Israel and the United States of training the Islamic State in order to undermine Moscow’s interests in the Middle East.

In an interview with Iranian state television,Alexander Prokhanov said that Mossad agents were training ISIS fighters in Syria and Iraq.

“ISIS is a tool at the hands of the United States. They tell the Europeans that if we (the Americans) do not intervene, ISIS will cause you harm,” he told PRESS TV.

“They launched their first terror attack against us just a few days back in Chechnya,” he said.

If you want to understand the concept of how tawakkul (trust in Allah) will ease the pain of your hardships, imagine a scenario in which a stranger picks you up and starts driving. What will you feel? Not understanding what’s happening, you will feel extreme anxiety. But what happens if you find out with all certainty that the stranger was sent by your mother? What happens to your fear and anxiety? It suddenly disappears. And the more trust you have in your mother, the less anxiety you will feel. Why? Because even if you don’t know why you are being taken along a certain path, you know with full certainty that your mother always has your back. You have *full trust* that your mother only wants good for you and would never send something to harm you. So it is this trust that gives your heart peace–even when you don’t understand the path your being taken on.

After greater thought and encouragement by brothers and sisters from different communities, I’ve decided to repost the post I took down about Nicki Minaj and Ferguson. Shame on me for cowering to isms who in the name of constructs foreign to our faith seek to insulate evil.

The post is found below. I would appreciate folks comments and thoughts – their critique. However, I will not tolerate harsh accusations against me or anyone who comments.

I’m concerned with attempts by some who obviously have no idea who I am or are familiar with my track record to label me something I’m not. That in itself demanded a repost. Folks who know me know that I see the arts as an important vehicle to souls. Hence we have #ArtMonday on this page. When the arts serve to corrupt and harm people, regardless of ethnic or cultural root, you can bet that I will be there to speak out. For that reason I gave a Khutba a little over a year ago on Breaking Bad.

As a father, and an Imam in a community, I pay attention to what is influencing folks around me and I speak for or against it. I do not look through the lenses of isms, but the lenses of the permissible and the impermissible.
