Function of the Pineal Gland
Source: newhealthguide.org
The pineal gland is one of the smallest and most important endocrine glands in the body. Located in the center of the brain close to the more well-known pituitary gland, the pineal gland gets its name from its characteristic pine cone shape. It is also known as the pineal organ, the pineal body or the “third eye”. This small gland controls your body’s sleep-wake pattern. However, due to lots of factors, calcification of pineal gland can occur, hampering brain function. Remedies to decalcify the brain should immediately be taken.
The Cure – Blood: a primer (Video)
In this animation, we delve into the different functions and components of blood. Blood is a mixture of various cells suspended in a fluid called plasma. Although fundamentally different in both appearance and function, all blood cells originate from a single type of stem cell in the bone marrow. Red blood cells, or erythrocytes, are made up of little sacs of haemoglobin which are designed to carry oxygen. White blood cells, or leukocytes, are part of our immune system and move in and out of blood vessels searching for any signs of infection or cellular abnormalities. Platelets, or thrombocytes, help repair the blood vessel in the event of an injury by helping the blood to clot.

If you suffer from any of the following ailments, you may not be drinking enough water: fatigue, confusion, memory loss, dizziness, dry and wrinkled skin, brittle hair and nails, cold fingers and toes, constipation, eczema, headaches, urinary tract infections, and muscle pains. These are all signs of dehydration.
Your body is made up of around 70% water, which is involved in every bodily function. If you lack water, then your body will try to get moisture from any liquid source in your system. It will automatically tap your blood, cell fluid, intra-cellular fluid, and even your stools and urine. When you’re literally draining yourself, you’re impacting your physical and mental health and speeding up the aging process.
Below are seven very good reasons to boost your water intake:
INCENSE
Incense, the origin of aromatherapy, is proven to help the mind be peaceful and de-stressed. Stress has now been found to attack the immune system thus linking it to diseases like cancer. Quality incense immediately creates a spiritual atmosphere because it surcharges the ether with positive energy (earth, fire) dispersing subtle negative influences. …thus it is good for meditation and inner peace.
In South Arabia Incense got a strong social function. It is often burned after a social gathering. If the incense starts to smolder is the moment of parting arrived.
THE KEY TO THE UNIVERSE WEDGED INSIDE YOUR BRAIN
Squint your eyes a little, and check out this raisin-sized gland inside your brain: Would you believe me if I told you that this tiny, unassuming organ…
May be the gateway to your highest potential as a being of infinite power? As you may have already deduced, it’s not a misplaced honey roasted peanut: it’s your pineal gland.
The famed psychic Edgar Cayce once said, “Keep the pineal gland operating and you won’t grow old – you will always be young.” Why? The truth may surprise you.
The pineal gland is an endocrine gland located at the very center of your cranium. On a physiological level, it is activated by light, and works with your hypothalamus gland to regulate your hunger, thirst, sex drive and biological clock (which explains Mr. Cayce’s quote).
The pineal gland also regulates some of your body’s most important chemicals… including the “happy chemical” serotonin and the free radical-busting antioxidant melatonin (which also regulates your sleep patterns).
It’s clear that this organ plays a crucial role in your physiological well being… but where it gets even more fascinating is the role it plays in your spiritual evolution!
