Rescuers struggled to reach more than 200,000 people still stranded on Saturday in Indian Kashmir as deadly floodwaters receded, revealing horrific devastation in the Himalayan region including neighbouring Pakistan, officials said.
Amateur footage has emerged capturing a powerful flash flood, which swept up two vehicles in the US state of Nevada. Eyewitness Doug Bennett said he was about 30 miles north of Las Vegas on Monday afternoon when water started flowing over the US route 95 highway. Bennett said a Ford Sedan and a Toyota Prius were stranded in muddy floodwaters when a wall of water drew near.
