I was a guest at one of my friend’s place. This was a very rich man and he had a young son. While we were sitting, his son offered me a glass of water. The father retaliated: “Can’t you even greet with Salams!” I could clearly see the man’s eyebrows frowning and the little kid shivering. The child mumbled ‘Assalamualaikum’ in a shivering voice . Later, I corrected my friend that he was wrong in insulting his son and he should read the biography of the Prophet on how he taught children, tolerated their mistakes and corrected them without getting angry.
Not all parents are the best at parenting. It is true that some parents know more than other when it comes to parenting, but that does not mean that all parents know everything there is to know about parenting. Parenting is an extremely hard task, which is the reason why most parents face a number of different problems while going through the initial stages of parenthood. Well, parents want to know about parenting pointers or parenting tips in order to improve their parenting methods and in order to make sure that they are travelling on the right path in terms of parenting.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the most HONEST, RIGHTEOUS, PIOUS, KIND, SINCERE, BEAUTIFUL, HANDSOME, HUMBLE, JUST, LITERATE, SMART, MERCIFUL, AND HONORABLE PERSON AND CREATION OF GOD.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the greatest of Gods creation.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the best husband, father, companion, and statesman ever created.
He is most gentle and pure!
He never harmed anyone, and is by far the greatest (human) example of love, compassion, intellect, open-mindedness, and reasoning!
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the ENEMY of hate, war, violence, sin and corruption!
He spent his whole life giving and NOT receiving.
His beauty CANNOT be displayed in any form of art. Because no mere painting would do justice to such a beautiful face
Truly the Prophet (PBUH) is Gods mercy on mankind!

Before getting married, I was pregnant with my baby but her father was mad at me.
When he knew about it he told me: “I am not ready to be a father, you have to abort the baby!!” (hard words for a young woman).
I told him: “I don’t care if you don’t want the baby, but I will never kill a little person only because you want to. So, I will be a single mother but you will have responsibilities towards the baby.” And I left him…

After greater thought and encouragement by brothers and sisters from different communities, I’ve decided to repost the post I took down about Nicki Minaj and Ferguson. Shame on me for cowering to isms who in the name of constructs foreign to our faith seek to insulate evil.
The post is found below. I would appreciate folks comments and thoughts – their critique. However, I will not tolerate harsh accusations against me or anyone who comments.
I’m concerned with attempts by some who obviously have no idea who I am or are familiar with my track record to label me something I’m not. That in itself demanded a repost. Folks who know me know that I see the arts as an important vehicle to souls. Hence we have #ArtMonday on this page. When the arts serve to corrupt and harm people, regardless of ethnic or cultural root, you can bet that I will be there to speak out. For that reason I gave a Khutba a little over a year ago on Breaking Bad.
As a father, and an Imam in a community, I pay attention to what is influencing folks around me and I speak for or against it. I do not look through the lenses of isms, but the lenses of the permissible and the impermissible.
