Adhaan in British Sign Language by Al Isharah (Video)

 The adhaan, the Islamic call to prayer, is one of the most distinguishable elements of Islamic culture. Since the time of the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh), the adhaan has remained the same. However, this beautiful call to prayer has not been experienced by the Deaf community, until now. Under the guidance of a qualified Sheikh, Al Isharah took the initiative to translate and create the adhaan in to British Sign Language (BSL).

One of the most frequently-voiced complaints that we hear from clients and students (and admittedly, it tends to be women who we hear it from) is, “He won’t talk to me,” or, “I can’t get him to open up. No matter what I do, I don’t get anything more than a one-word response,” or, “I’m so frustrated, I could scream.”

No one likes to hear bad news but the truth is that the consequences of refusing to listen or talk about upsetting issues can be far more painful and damaging than the experience of discussing them.

Unlawful love before marriage…

Ibn al Qayyim al Jawziyyah (rahimahullah) mentions in regards to unlawful love before marriage (i.e. haram sexual relations, or love for someone who you are unable to marry).

“And the cure for this deadly illness (i.e. unlawful love before marriage) is for the person that is afflicted to realise that this love is only due to his/her own delusions and ignorance.

So upon such a person is to first and foremost strengthen their Tawheed and reliance upon Allah, and secondly to increase in worship and busy themselves with it, so much so that they do not have any spare time letting their minds wander and think about their beloved.
