It’s almost 2015, and every single year more and more people are starting to question the information presented to them from mainstream western media outlets, and for good reason. What we are often presented with by corporate media, especially when it comes to political issues and war overseas is a twist of what’s really happening and sometimes even a fabrication of the story.

One great example is the “terrorist” group Al-Qaeda, it’s well documented that this group was supported and possibly created by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Not long ago an FBI whistleblower expressed her belief that the United States is reviving the terror scare with ISIS to promote and revive the terror war industry.

Here is a video of US four-star General Wesley Clark pretty much alluding to the same thing. One of the best examples to date were the tragic events that took place on 9/11. Other great examples are the acquisitions and territory take-overs for ulterior motives. The list goes on and on.

 Outdoor artificial lighting may be a fact of modern life, but it is costing the environment dearly.

Astronomers estimate that in the UK alone, wasted electricity from street lights emits carbon dioxide equivalent to an extra 160,000 cars on the road each year.

It is not just wasted electricity, artificially lighted night skies disrupt the natural cycles of plants and animals, changing habitats and ecosystems.

Residents on the Isle of Sark in the Channel Islands, however, are turning down artificial lighting as part of a scheme to reduce light pollution and return the island to its natural day-night cycle.

Chu Owen, an amateur astronomer, finds out how wildlife and communities are reaping the benefits of dark skies in the Isle of Sark – declared the world’s first dark sky island.

REUTERS – Turkish shipbuilder Karadeniz Holding plans to send an electricity generating vessel to Gaza to provide urgently needed power in the enclave left reeling by Israel’s Operation Protective Edge that began last month.

Billions needed to rebuild Gaza (VIDEO)

 Gazans are struggling in the wake of Israeli shelling and airstrikes that have reduced much of Gaza to rubble. Initial estimates suggest it could cost upto $6bn dollars to rebuild the tiny strip’s infrastructure after hundreds of factories were hit by Israeli shelling and airstrikes. These problems are made even worse after an attack on Gaza’s only power plant left homes and hospitals with just a few hours of access to electricity. Al Jazeera’s Charles Stratford reports from Gaza.
