The hadith (saying of the Prophet) of the seven who are in Allah’s shade, subhanahu wa ta’ala (exalted is He), on the Day of Judgment gives us guidance as to important milestones and markers for our spiritual development. These are goals that should be sought in one’s development.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

There are seven whom Allah will shade in His Shade on the Day when there is no shade except His Shade: a just ruler; a youth who grew up in the worship of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic; a man whose heart is attached to the mosques; two men who love each other for Allah’s sake, meeting for that and parting upon that; a man who is called by a woman of beauty and position [for illegal intercourse], but he says: ‘I fear Allah’, a man who gives in charity and hides it, such that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives in charity; and a man who remembered Allah in private and so his eyes shed tears.

KABUL – Afghani Muslim scholars have praised plans by the Saudi Kingdom to establish the country’s largest Islamic Center in Kabul, a project that has raised both hopes and fears in this land locked country.

“We hope that establishment of the centre by Saudi Arabia will not amplify all those madrassas in Afghanistan, Pakistan and some other countries that are known for spreading extremism, terrorism and fundamentalism,” Afghan religious scholar Hedaytullah Hedayat told OnIslam.net.

Hedayat stressed that the new centre should dedicate its efforts to spread the true Islamic teachings that are meant to spread harmony, peace and tolerance.

How the Messenger of Mercy (pbuh) fought

Billions of Dollars, Euros, Pounds, Shekels and other currencies are used by the enemies of Islām to smear and tarnish the name and the image of the Deen of Islām and the person of Nabi Muhammad (SallAllāhu ‘alayhi wasallam). The media moguls and the promoters of Islāmophobia, through electronic as well as press media, are hell-bent on misleading people into believing Islām to be a terror-oriented religion. Millions of anti-Islāmic websites and blogs have been initiated to criticize, insult and make fun of Islām and the noble personality of Nabi Muhammad (Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam). The anti-Islāmic nations and their governments are diplomatically and militarily leaving no stone unturned to hinder Islām’s progress. However, being DeenulHaqq (the True Religion), Islām continues to be protected by Allāh Himself since time immemorial, as He protected His Majestic House (the Ka’bah) when Abraha dared to attack it.

Those of us who have been speaking out against the menace of so-called “Jihad” must redouble our efforts. “Jihad” is far more than a threat to the lives of unsuspecting innocent people, both here in the West and in Muslim countries. It is a threat to our religion, in terms of how Islam is being represented by the advocates of “Jihad” and how it is being perceived by others. Muslim scholars cannot remain silent and allow this misrepresentation to go unaddressed.

Israel buys tweets to promote Gaza escalation

Using public relations efforts to build public support for military action is not a new idea. But spending money on tweets to shape global perceptions may be the next frontier for such efforts. Hayes Brown, Editor at ThinkProgress, posted this screenshot of a promoted tweet from the official Twitter account of the Prime Minister of Israel, seeking to build support for an escalation of Israeli military operations in Gaza.
