Lying is a reprehensible quality where the Islamic Shari’ah ( Islamic law ) has severe warnings against it . Human (healthy ) sense instinctively repelled by such a quality .
Sincerity is one of the pillars of survival , the origin of all praiseworthy characteristics , the cornerstone of Prophethood and fruit of piety . Lying is an act that is against the innate human nature .

There is warned against lying in Islam and is forbidden in the Qur’an, the Prophetic Sunnah and the consensus of Islamic scholars . Lying certainly has consequences both in this life and the next .
Lying is only allowed under very strict conditions and in certain situations when it does not result in depriving a person of his / her rights , bloodshed or slandering others and the like. In fact, are permitted only in a situation to one’s life to save between two warring parties reconcile or to create more love and compassion . Between spouses
There is no specific day or time which allows Islam to lie and what they want to say . On the first day of April, ( what is known as April 1st joke ) , people consider to lie and say what they want lawful , without any basis. There ‘s a lot of harm resulting from such a practice .
The Messenger of Allah ( peace and blessings be upon him ) said : ” Honesty leads to righteousness and righteousness leads to Paradise. Verily , a man is honest until he is written as ever – faithful . With Allah And lying leads to moral corruption and moral corruption leads to the Fire . Verily , a man will continue to lie until he is written with Allah as a complete liar . ” [ Saheeh al- Bukhaari Muslim]
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud said: “You must tell the truth . Honesty leads to the right action . The right action leads to Paradise. Be on your guard for lying . Lying leads to corruption and corruption leads to the Fire . Do not you see that it was said : “He speaks the truth and act properly ,” and ” He’s lying and corrupt . ‘”
Ibn Mas’ud ( may Allah be pleased with him ) said : ” Lying is not accepted in jest or in earnest . ” Then he recited (Allah be pleased with him) the following verse :
يا أيها الذين آمنوا اتقوا الله وكونوا مع الصادقين
“O you who believe, fear Allah and be with the truthful . ” (Al – Tawba : 119)
Abu Bakr ( may Allah be pleased with him ) said : “Beware of lying because it opposes the faith.”
Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas ( may Allah be pleased with him) said : “The believer may acquire all sorts of characteristics except treachery and lying.”
Ibn ‘ Umar ( may Allah be pleased with him ) said : ” Men will never reach the reality of faith until he abstains from lying even if it’s for fun.”
Permitted lie !
Lying is permitted in three cases : war , atonement between two quarreling parties and a man who lies to his wife (or vice versa ) because of their love and harmony between them .
Umm Kalthum bint ‘ Uqbah ( may Allah be pleased with her ) narrated that they are the Messenger of Allah ( peace and blessings be upon him) heard saying : “He that two people reconciles , and do so something good tell whether something good says , is not a liar.” (Sahih Al – Bukhari and Muslim)
It was narrated that Asma ‘ bint Yazeed ( Allah be pleased with her ) said : “The Messenger of Allah ( peace and blessings be upon him ) said : ” It is not allowed to tell , except in three ( cases lies ) : as a man speaks to his wife to please her, lying in wartime and lying to reconcile ” people together .
