Hatred and Racism from Right Winged Extremists in Europe cannot stop the growth and beauty of Islamic culture and people!
By: Abdullah Hakim Quick
Despite the anti-Islam marches in Dresden, Germany and the attacks on Masjids in France, the positive light of Islam will continue to shine!
Muslims are in key, strategic positions throughout society and cannot be lumped into a small, fanatical cult.
Our challenge is to maintain the “Balance” and convert our emotions into positive energy. Almighty Allah is Witness to all affairs and has power over all things
Look at the classical, beauty and the European Muslim style of the Scwetzingen Castle Mosque built in 1779. Its the oldest standing masjid in Germany and still open for Prayer! Allahu Akbar Forever!
Bosnian Muslims begin new year with Quran and Mawlid

The United Islamic Assembly organised a Quran recital at the Cekrekci Muslihudin Mosque and great interest was shown by the Sarajevo Muslim community.
The mosque muezzin Bilal Efendic said that each year a Quran recital night was organised for the last night of the year and that the youth came together at the mosque in celebration of this. Efendic said that during the event 30 youths who are hafiz – those who have committed the entire Quran to memory – read from the Quran until late night. Many hymns were also sung as part of the event.
Organised each year, the programme opened with a ceremony at the Bascarsi Mosque. Mevlud programmes, where hymns and poetry are recited in honour of the Prophet Muhammad, book launches and Islamic song concerts are also part of the programme, which will continue until the 23rd January.

10 WAYS AMERICAN MUSLIMS CAN HELP SAVE THE WORLD

By:Junaid Subzwari
The world, it appears, has completely lost its mind. It seems that our tiny planet is staged for a complete disaster with the West and Muslim world as the co-stars. What’s sad is that all of these problems are based on misunderstandings and lies spread by hate mongers with one interest: growing their bank accounts. To add insult to injury, citizens from the West and the Muslim world are starting to detest each because they feel the other side is this Great Evil trying to enslave them. Then there are those caught in the middle: the American Muslims, aka, you and I. We’re blessed with the conundrum of being, both, Muslims and Americans. We know that Islam is not about killing the innocent, but, also know that reality tv is not the reality of Western culture. So what’s a brother/sister to do?

The unusual sight of crime-fighting Orthodox Jews pounding the streets of a tough London neighbourhood after dark has captured the attention of grateful locals, but their ongoing protection of local Muslims has seen their profile go global.
Zionist propaganda on social media is being backed up by millions of dollars
By: Mohammed Zeyara
I want to send a quick reminder to everyone that the Zionist propaganda on social media is being backed up by millions of dollars daily for advertisements. Each tweet that the IDF or Israeli president tweet, gets promoted and advertised. This indicates how desperate they are to reach out to more people with bias and fabricated information to gain sympathy and support. Now, we do not have a government to fund advertising, nor do we have millions of dollars to back up our posts. But we do have humans with dignity who decided to speak and share the truth. And with full confidence we rely on God, then them. The awareness that social media raised the past 2 weeks shocked the world. So please continue supporting the activists you follow.
Thank you for your time.
As Ramadan starts to wind down, Here are some things that we can continue to do throughout the year
By: Omar Suleiman
The most obvious deed to continue is fasting because despite how long the days have been, fasting has become your second nature by now. So it’s no coincidence that we were encouraged by the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) to follow up a month of fasting in Ramadan with 6 days of fasting in Shawwal.
Now is the time to start fasting Mondays and Thursdays and the 13th, 14th, and 15th of every Islamic month. Your body is used to it and your soul craves it. But here’s something else I would add. Although we really can’t have Ramadan outside of Ramadan, which is why the fasts will feel different, we can try to duplicate the experience as much as possible. What makes Ramadan special ASIDE from fasting is the Taraweeh prayer, Quran recitation, community/family iftars, etc. Obviously the month of Ramadan also has virtues that are completely out of our control like Laylatul Qadr, the gates of paradise opened, the gates of hell shut, etc. But for the first set of things, we should try to create a similar experience. So here are my tips:
