Royal, United States District Judge for the Middle District of Georgia. He received a lengthy sentence despite the fact that the legal maximum sentence for the crimes he was charged with is 50 years. He is 58-year-old man, with a life-threatening illness, Hereditary Angioedema, and he has been sentenced to life and beyond for crimes he did not commit. It is the responsibility of every living Muslim to follow Islamic teachings and perform all the duties which Islam bestows upon them. In addition, following the teachings of Islam is something that a person needs to turn into a Muslim needs to turn into a hobby of theirs. Following the teachings of Islam should be included in the everyday schedule of every living Muslim. However, it is because of the fact that every Muslim follows the teachings of Islam every single day that most Muslims start suffering from laziness whenever the time for them to follow the teachings of Islam comes.

It is important for a Muslim to crush laziness while following the teachings of Islam because if they succumb to their laziness, they will not be able to follow the teachings of Islam, ultimately displeasing their creator. Laziness is the arch nemesis of productivity, which is the reason why every person should crush it. In addition, this is also true in the case of Muslims. Muslims need to crush laziness because if they do not do so, they will not be able to follow Islamic teachings.

Khaled walked down the street unaware of his surroundings. There was a tightness in his heart. tugged at his eyes but would not flow. Just then the athan filled the air. He looked at his watch. It was Maghrib. How long had it been since he had prayed.  How long had it been since he had a connection with .  Suddenly he knew it! He knew what was causing this unbearable uneasiness and grief. He knew what was missing in his life – ALLAH.

Allah says in the Qur’an,

“So remember Me, I will remember you…” (Al-Baqarah 2:152)

Modernists claim that material benefits along with great relations are enough to keep us .  If that were the case, then why are the suicide rates increasing to such an extent? The answer lies with Allah Allah Subhanahu-wa-Taala .  The only way to be content and at peace in our lives is by getting close to Him.

It’s never been exactly cozy between American Muslims and African Americans. But with Ferguson—and Gaza—that’s changing.
The Muslim-American community of which I’m part hasn’t been great in standing up with and for African Americans. A lack of empathy and racism are the main culprits. What makes this especially astonishing is that 30 percent of the Muslim-American population is African American. You would think that there would be natural alliances, but that hasn’t been the case.
