Man gives directions to his life depending on the exact nature of the battle taking place in his inner dimension between the animal and lordly souls. When the lordly soul wins the battle, man becomes inclined towards good deeds and morality. But when the animal soul takes the control, man becomes inclined towards all kinds of sin and immorality. Man’s responsibility for his actions is based on his preferences and decisions between good and evil deeds. Since man is given a capacity to perform his actions in accordance with his free will, and thereby take his animal soul under control to a certain extent, he is liable for what he does and eligible for both reward and punishment.

Faith: The most basic and essential attribute of a Muslim marriage is the common faith that binds the couple.
Since Islam is a way of life and not just a religion confined to weekly worship it becomes an integral part of a Muslim’s life. The frame of reference shared by the couple eases communication and sharing of values which is not possible in an interfaith marriage. It is highly recommended that faith play an important role in the developing a loving relationship.
For example, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, that when a husband feeds his wife, he gets a reward for this act and Allah increases the bond of love between them. So when we love each other for the sake of Allah WE ACTUALLY INCREASE OUR FAITH.
Some People try to say Islam is Barbaric and cruel as they watch the basic Human Rights of these people being violated along with the targeting and killing of innocent Men, Women and children.
Let’s see what Islam teaches during times of war.
Before engaging in battle, the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) instructed his soldiers:
1. “Do not kill any child, any woman, or any elder or sick person.” (Sunan Abu Dawud)
2. “Do not practice treachery or mutilation.(Al-Muwatta)
3. Do not uproot or burn palms or cut down fruitful trees.(Al-Muwatta)
4. Do not slaughter a sheep or a cow or a camel, except for food.” (Al-Muwatta)
5. “If one fights his brother, [he must] avoid striking the face, for God created him in the image of Adam.” (Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)
6. “Do not kill the monks in monasteries, and do not kill those sitting in places of worship. (Musnad Ahmad Ibn Hanbal)
7. “Do not destroy the villages and towns, do not spoil the cultivated fields and gardens, and do not slaughter the cattle.” (Sahih Bukhari; Sunan Abu Dawud)
8. “Do not wish for an encounter with the enemy; pray to God to grant you security; but when you [are forced to] encounter them, exercise patience.” (Sahih Muslim)
9. “No one may punish with fire except the Lord of Fire.” (Sunan Abu Dawud).
10. “Accustom yourselves to do good if people do good, and to not do wrong even if they commit evil.” (Al-Tirmidhi)
Verse in the Holy Quraan
4:75 (Y. Ali) And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: “Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!”

People protesting against Israel does not make them anti-Semites. Judaism and Zionists do not follow the same agenda. The prophet Mohamad respected his Jewish friends, visited them when they got sick and allowed the jews to practice their religion freely. The Jews are people of the book, and we carry no hard feelings towards them. It is the Zionists that are reflecting a horrible image about the Jewish community. Most Orthodox Jews are totally against Zionism and against an Israeli state in Palestine since day one. Labelling everyone as an “Anti-Semite” is foolish and sounds desperate for attention. Every time a person writes/shares a status against the brutal actions of the Zionist terrorists, that person will be labelled as an anti-semite? That’s just silly. If you have called someone an anti-semite because they were protesting against Israel, you need some education. Because clearly you’re the one who lacks some basic understanding.
If you heard these rude terms from your friends while protesting against Israel, do not let them bring you down and keep moving forward. You don’t need friends who think murdering children is okay anyway.
What will it take for Detroit to turn on the tap for thousands of residents facing water shutoffs?
Denied access to water. That’s the reality for thousands of residents in the US city of Detroit who have had their water shutoff because of unpaid bills. The Detroit Water and Sewage Department says it has more than $90 million in overdue payments, but residents claim they’ve been unable to keep up with the 120 per cent increase in water costs. So, is water a basic human right and should it be turned back on for those residents? And in a city where 83 per cent of the population is black, what role does race play in the shutoffs?
Detroit’s water system serves 700,000 residents within the city and approximately 4 million others in southeastern Michigan, but the city-owned water department is $6 billion in debt. As of July 1, more than $90 million was owed in overdue water bills.
Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip just requested everyone with any basic medical or health knowledge to immediately go to any hospital.
With the only power plant in Gaza destroyed by Israel, 1.6 million people are without electricity and 2 in 3 don’t have access to safe water or basic sanitation.
