One of the signs of the end times, according to Islam, is the inversion of reality – in other words, things being upside-down. For Muslims, there is nothing that more obviously illustrates this than Islam being made to appear bad to the world. For the first time in the history of our faith, an extremist fringe has hijacked the religion and is dominating the headlines, causing havoc and creating a global crisis.

BISMILLĀHIR RAHMĀNIR RAHĪM

Glory to Allāh and Salutations on Rasulullāh Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam.

“And (when) he (Nabi Sulaimān) inspected the birds, he exclaimed: ‘Why do I not see Hud-Hud, or is he among the absentees? Either he brings to me a valid proof (explanation) or I shall most certainly give him a severe punishment or slaughter him. The Hud-Hud stayed away for just a short time. (Upon his return) he said: ‘I have discovered what you have not discovered, and I come to you from (the land of) Saba’ with reliable information. Verily, I found a woman ruling over people. She has been given everything (of worldly wealth) and she has a wonderful throne. I have found her and her people prostrating to the sun besides Allāh. Shaitān has adorned for them their deeds and has prevented them from the Path of Allāh, hence they do not derive guidance.” (Surah Namal, Āyat 20 – 24)

These are the Qur’ānic aayaat commencing the story of Nabi Sulaimān (‘alayhis Salām) and Queen Bilqees, the ruler of Yemen at that time. The story begins with an inspection of the birds by Nabi Sulaimān (‘alayhis Salām). Allāh Ta’ala had bestowed to Nabi Sulaimān (‘alayhis Salām) the ability to understand and speak the variety of languages of even the birds. Mentioning this, the Qur’ān Majeed records the statement of Nabi Sulaimān (‘alayhis Salām) who said: “O people, we have been taught the speech of the birds and have been granted from everything. Verily, this is a clear bounty (of Allāh).” – Āyat 16, Surah Namal

On his expedition from Baitul Maqdis (Jerusalem) to Yemen, at one stage his army requested for water. There was no water in sight and the soldiers were extremely thirsty. Nabi Sulaimān (‘alayhis Salām) ordered the variety of birds to form their rows for an inspection. The purpose of the inspection was to issue a command to the bird Hud-Hud. What bird is the Hud-Hud?

What is beauty?

Anyone with the vaguest knowledge of Islamic culture knows that it has produced extraordinary works of art and architecture — Persian miniatures, the Taj Mahal, the Alhambra. Few are aware, however, that this rich artistic heritage is firmly rooted in a worldview that highlights love and beauty.

The link between love and beauty is clear. We love what we find beautiful. Beauty attracts, ugliness repels. Nor are beauty and ugliness simply physical characteristics. We all know people who are outwardly attractive but personally repellent, and vice versa.

Beauty makes a massive appearance in love poetry like that of Ibn al-Farid, Rumi, Yunus Emre, and countless others. Their verses stir up wonder and delight by evoking the beautiful characteristics of the beloved.

“And fear the ‘Fitnah’ which affects not in particular those of you who do wrong (but it may afflict all the good & bad people together), and know that Allah is severe in punishment.” (Aayah No. 25, Surah Al-Anfal, Chapter No. 8, Holy Qur’an).

Allah warns His servants of Fitnah (trials & tests) that encompasses the wicked and those around them. Such Fitnah will not be restricted to the sinners and evildoers; rather, will reach others also if sins are not stopped and prevented. Such Fitnah will be everywhere around us as told by our Prophet (PBUH): “…I see the places of tribulation among your houses like the places where rain falls” – (Hadith No. 7245 (2885), Book of Tribulations & Portents of the Hour, Sahih Muslim, Vol. 7).

So, Fitnah will be everywhere, in our houses even; it may appear in many different forms. And today we are going to discuss one such form of Fitnah.

The Cure – Blood: a primer (Video)

info-pictogram1 In this animation, we delve into the different functions and components of blood. Blood is a mixture of various cells suspended in a fluid called plasma. Although fundamentally different in both appearance and function, all blood cells originate from a single type of stem cell in the bone marrow. Red blood cells, or erythrocytes, are made up of little sacs of haemoglobin which are designed to carry oxygen. White blood cells, or leukocytes, are part of our immune system and move in and out of blood vessels searching for any signs of infection or cellular abnormalities. Platelets, or thrombocytes, help repair the blood vessel in the event of an injury by helping the blood to clot.

Indeed, think about where you came from and where you are now. Many of us would be ashamed of the sins we committed in the past, yet we look forward to the future of accumulating good deeds and working towards a joyous ending, in’sha’Allah!

Sihr Al-Junun (Lunacy)

In this type of sihr the jinn entrusted with the sihr enters into the targeted person and setting in his brain, as instructed by the sahir. He then begins pressing to the brain cells for thought, memory and behavior or managing them in a way which only Allah (swt) knows. As a result, symptoms appear on the victim.

Khaija Ibn salat reported that his paternal uncle went to the Prophet (saw) and declared his conversion to Islam. On his way back, his uncle passed by a people who had fettered a lunatic in chains. They said: We were told that you have anything with which to cure our lunatic? I recited Al-Fatiha and he was cured. They gave me one hundred sheep and then approached the Prophet (saw) to inform him of it.

He asked: Did you say anything other than this? I replied: No . He saus: Take it, for by my life, some would accept in return for a false ruqya, but you have done this with genuine one. according to another narration, the man cured him by reciting Al-Fatiha for three days, and night;whenever he finished reciting it, he would gather his salina and spit.

Symptoms of Sihr Al-Junun (Lunacy)

1: Severe absentmindedness and forgetfulness
2: Confused speech
3: Bulging eyes and deviation of sight
4: Restlessness
5: Inability to do a task regularly
6: Disinterest in one appearance
Treatment of Sihr Al-Junun (Lunacy)
