Reality will always be greater than our dreams
By: Navaid Aziz
People are often caught day dreaming. Our minds drift off to places we would rather be than here. People we would rather be with than the ones we are with now. Eating and drinking things that we desire more than what we currently have. Have we ever stopped to wonder what is greater, our reality or our dreams? The prophet -Salla Allahu ‘alaihi wa sallam- answers this question for us in describing jannah: “In it is what no eye has seen, no ear has heard of, nor has any mind imagined.” The reality of paradise is greater than anything we can imagine or dream of in this life. Paradise is the ultimate dream. Make it your driving force and motivation. As for this life it is just a means of making your dreams a reality. You may not have everything you dream of in this life, but if you work hard enough Allah guarantees all of your dreams and fantasies to come true in the next. May Allah make us from the inhabitants of al-firdaws without any hisab. Ameen.”
He who lives by the Qur’an
“He who lives by the Qur’an, Allah says it will take him into Jannah. And if he puts it behind his back it will take him to Jahannum.”
If you follow the Qur’an (meaning enjoin good en forbidding evil) then In-shaa’Allah you will enter Jannah.
But if you don’t follow the Qur’an (meaning enjoin evil and forbidding good) then it will take him to Jahannum.
May Allah protect us. Aameen
Fear Allah wherever you may be, don’t associate partners with Him
“Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward.” (Qur’an 67:12). SubhanAllah, what a comforting verse
Fear Allah wherever you may be, don’t associate partners with Him, enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil and follow the Sunnah of Prophet (ﷺ) and you will enter Jannah In Shaa Allah! May Allah give us the strength to do what is good and forbid what is evil. Aameen.
In Shaa Allah we’ll start Revive a Sunnah series tomorrow. Stay tuned and invite others!

This kid received a chopping board on his birthday as a joke, but his reaction teaches us a lesson that reminds us to be always grateful. Imagine he ignored his mother after receiving these gifts? This is what people do when they ignore Allah for the gift of everything from oxygen to breath, food to eat, and eyes to see. May Allah allow us to be grateful Ameen.
A Person Cannot Protect Himself against the Devil except by Remembering Allah
Al-Harith Al-Ash’ari (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessings be upon him) said, “A Person cannot protect himself against the Shaytan (Devil) except by remembering Allah.”
Whenever you are alone, remember you have become a prey of the Shaytan, except if you’re remembering Allah. Nowadays many people are tempted by Shaytaan and fall into the traps of the Shaytan. It’s his job to lead us astray and to take us with him into Hell, but we should do our utmost best to prevent this. How? Do lots of Dhikr. Remember Allah all the time. Read the Quran, Do Dhikr, Pray voluntary prayers, Go to mosque, Attend Islamic events etc. And In Shaa Allah you’ll be under the protection of Allah.
May Allah save us from the whispers of the Shaytaan and forgive our sins. Ameen.
