With many non-Muslim students in attendance, Sheikh Quick explains that throughout time there has been a constant struggle between those who believe in one God and those who believe in many gods. And these struggles resulted in many compromises on the part of those who would ultimately influence and shape many modern day religious ceremonies and celebrations. And what comes to us today are rituals not condoned by the prophets and messengers of God, but rather mixed-up beliefs and practices that can be attributed to ancient pagan culture. The major celebrations analyzed in this talk are: Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, Easter, and Halloween.

Hatred and Violence only destroys the Hater

The vicious hatred of the right wing “American Sniper” movie, the German (Neo-Nazi) Anti-Islam movement, the confused but still hateful Charlie Hebdo cartoons, the Fox News lies and distortions of Islam and Muslims cannot put out the light of Islam or stop the advancement of Muslims. The Mongols of Genghis Khan brutally slaughtered millions of Muslims in the12th and 13th centuries but we still dominate their culture.
Look at the Manjali Mosque in Atyrau province, West Kazakhstan. Quiet but powerful beauty; Mathematics and high art that compliment the heavens.
That connection with Almighty Allah can never be broken (Insha Allah)!!!

Look at the classical, beauty and the European Muslim style of the Scwetzingen Castle Mosque built in 1779. Its the oldest standing masjid in Germany and still open for Prayer! Allahu Akbar Forever!
Islam will continue to shine despite the “Clash of the two Savageries”

Despite the ongoing Huge Savagery of drone strikes, Abu Ghuraib torture, Guantanamo Bay prisons, insults against Almighty Allah and His Messenger Muhammad (pbuh), vicious tyrants ruling Muslim countries and daily injustice and intimidation, on one side; and the Smaller Savagery being carried out by reactionary, out of control extremists (French killings, murder of school children in Peshawar, Pakistan) on the other side; Muslims have to “hold the line” of balance and justice.
The public execution of the French Police officer Ahmed Merabet and the lack of immediate recognition by the media is just another example of what causes the pain that we are feeling. But the Qur’an was revealed for all times. Allah has informed us:
“You shall certainly be tried in your wealth and in your persons and you shall certainly hear from those who have been given the Book before you and the Polytheists, much wrong and annoying talk; but if you persevere and guard against evil with piety, that will be the most resolute of actions.” ( 3: 186)
They will never put out the true light of Allah, no matter how they try! Its like a fool trying to blow out the sun. Look at how the Abdul Aziz Mosque meets the sunrise every day in Shah Alam, Malaysia and reflect.
People of other faiths and nations coming to the rescue of the oppressed!

Bravo Uruguay! The Country of Uruguay, South America, under the leadership of President Jose Mujica has volunteered to host six of the wrongfully detained Guantanamo Bay prisoners. This is Humanity at its best! People of other faiths and nations coming to the rescue of the oppressed! It shows Muslims that there are still many people in this world who are not bent on desroying Islam and exterminating Muslims. May Almighty Allah bless this land and guide its inhabitants to His Last Testament, Al Qur’an and His final Messenger Muhammad (pbuh).

Islam was never established with vengeance, killing children, murdering innocent women, slaughtering prisoners, or being intolerant of other opinions (especially Scholars). Yes, drones are killing innocents, horrible torture is being used against us, lies are being spread about our Faith, “Manchurian Candidates” and third forces are committing evil in Islam’s name but we cannot fight evil with evil or unleash terror to counter terror. It is not the way of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who countered evil with righteous strength and balanced firmness. Revenge and hatred will only produce an endless cycle of madness and chaos.”
“Wake up Muslims before its too late! We have a dignified religion and excellent examples in our past. The Lion kills to survive, not out of vengeance and hatred for other animals. That’s why he (the lion) can sleep all day and nobody will bother him!!!”
The first Masjid of the Northeast Canadian Province of Nunavut has been completed

By the mercy of Almighty God, Allah, and the hard work of the Muslim brothers and sisters of the North, the groundbreaking and pillings for the first Masjid of the Northeast Canadian Province of Nunavut has been completed, al Hamdulillah. Official permission for the masjid has been obtained and the local elders and authorities have given their blessings. The site will be covered till the snow comes off in June but this foundation will enable us to build the Islamic Center of Iqaluit in the land of the Innuit people (wrongly called Eskimos) for the first time. May Allah empower the Innuit people through Islam and bring into them into the Ummah in crowds.
