“Day” occurs 365 times, and “month” occurs 12 times in the Glorious Quran!

1-  Allah Almighty’s Divine Claims:

The Noble Quran and Islam are filled with scientific statements and notions.  These are statements of Allah Almighty describing how He created things on earth and in the Universe.  What’s most amazing is that all of these scientific statements and notions had been proven to be in perfect agreement with science and our modern-day scientific discoveries.  Allah Almighty made the Noble Quran be Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) Everlasting Divine Miracle and proof for Prophethood.  The Holy Book certainly stood the test of time 1,500 years ago with Its Claims, Prophecies and Miraculous language eloquence, and it does again and again in our day today with Its overwhelming agreement with science and discoveries that were not known to man 1,500 years ago.

Allah Almighty Said: “We will show them Our signs in the Universe and inside their selves, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things?  (The Noble Quran, 41:53)”

With this said, let us examine Allah Almighty’s Divine Words in the Glorious Quran in the following sub-sections:

(a)-  “Yawm” يوم (Day) in its pure/original form and meaning.  What does this mean?

While I was watching one of the lectures of Mr. Adnan Al-Refaei (عدنان الرفاعي), a rising Muslim Scholar throughout Arabia, who specializes in the number 19 Numerical Miracle in the Glorious Quran [1] [2] [3], and has written books on this subject citing 100s of examples from the Glorious Quran that thoroughly demonstrate the Numerical Miracles of the Glorious Quran that are based on the number 19, as Allah Almighty mentioned that this number will be the basis for all of the Numerical Miracles in the Glorious Quran (see Noble Verses 74:30-37), Mr. Adnan mentioned the yawm Miracle in the Glorious Quran as is detailed the following analysis using my www.QuranSearch.com for proof.

When we search for the occurrences of يوم (yawm) in the Glorious Quran,  we find that it exists in 451 Words.  To verify this, simply go to www.QuranSearch.com, and enter يوم for the “Search String” text field, click on the “Exact String” radio button, click on the ‘Arabic’ check box and then click on the ‘Search’ push button.  At the bottom of the results page, you’ll find the following:

In many of the returned Noble Verses, from the 451 Noble Verses, يوم is a syllable that is part of a bigger Word.  The meaning of  يوم  in these Noble Words doesn’t mean Day.  The occurrences of يوم in other words as a syllable is as follows (Mr. Adnan Al-Refaei عدنان الرفاعي talked about this in his lecture as well):

1. يومئذ  (yama’ithin) occurs 70 times throughout the Glorious Quran.  This Noble Word literally means “then forth”, “at that time” or “at that period/day”, and it generally refers to to an event or something that will occur in a particular or specific or assigned time.  It is not in a pure form by itself.  To further prove that it is not in a pure form of “Day” (يوم), let us look at the following Noble Verses:
2. ‏22:56 الملك يومئذ لله …..  (The Authority then forth will be to GOD….)
3. ‏‏77:15 ويل يومئذ للمكذبين  (Woe then forth to the rejecters of the Truth!)
4. ‏88:8 وجوه يومئذ ناعمة   (Their faces hence forth will be full of happiness)
5. Note:  While many English translations translate يومئذ as “that day”, but it is clear from the Glorious Quran that it is a continuous and infinite event; a never-ending event in the Day of Judgment.
7. قيوم (qayyoom) occurs 3 times, and it means “Eternal”.  It has nothing to do with Day.
8. يومين (yawmayn) occurs 3 times, and it is a double plural in Arabic, which means “two days”.  It is not singular Day.
9. يومكم (yawmikum) occurs 5 times, and it literally means “your (in plural) day)” or “your (in plural) time)”.  It could refer to an entire day, and it could also refer to a specific time or event.  It is not in its pure form.
10. يومهم (yawmihim)  occurs 5 times, and it literally means “their day” or “their time”.  Like the previous one, it could refer to an entire day, but it could also  refer to a specific time or event.  Therefore, it is not in its pure form.

The pure forms for the Noble Word يوم are:

• يوم  (Day)
• اليوم (The Day)
• يوما (Day)

Now having said all of that, if we subtract these number from 451 then we will get:  451 – (70 + 3 + 3 + 5 + 5) = 365.
(i)-  But what does يوم for Day of Judgment have to do with the 365 days of the earth’s rotation around the sun?

The answer to this question is as follows:

1-  Allah Almighty made it clear that everything in the Universe moves in معارج (assigned orbits, curvy paths) [1] [2] [3a, b, c] [4].

2-  Time in the Glorious Quran is relative [1] [2] [3] [4] [5].  Allah Almighty had always called the relative time as Yawm, in the Glorious Quran.  Yawm means the time it takes for a certain event to complete in an orbital form, according to the Glorious Quran.

3-  The Day for Day of Judgment is also called يوم.  Allah Almighty spoke about its time relativity and made it clear that it’s length is different from what we recon here on earth [1] [2].  The two linked articles give great details in the mathematical claims that the Glorious Quran made, and their calculations that came precise accuracy to the third decimal digit when calculating the speed of light using them.

4-  Time on earth is calculated using the Sun and the Moon, and it is relative [1], according to the Glorious Quran.

So having said all of that, it is clear that Allah Almighty’s use of Yawm يوم, in the Glorious Quran, was always used for relative time, and was also used to calculate time relativity and the speed of light.  So we now can clearly see how Allah Almighty’s choice of having pure form of the Arabic word يوم to occur exactly 365 times in the Glorious Quran.  I think since every day on earth is different from the other, since the earth’s tilt and position is unique, according to the Glorious Quran and Science, for each day it rotates around the sun and around its own axle, and a year on earth symbolizes a start and end of a group of days and their calculations, then similar calculations and methods will exist in the Day of Judgment.  Again, Allah Almighty did make it clear that time is relative, and that Judgment Day’s time is also relative.  And everything that moves in the Universe moves in معارج (assigned orbits, curvy paths).

(b)-  “Month” شهر (shahr) mentioned 12 times in its pure form and meaning:

When we search ‘Month’ شهر (shahr) in its pure and singular form in the Glorious Quran, we also find the number of its occurrences to be 12, in the Glorious Quran.  Since the number of the Noble Verses is short, I’ll list all of them here.  You can also verify this by going towww.QuranSearch.com, and enter شهر for the “Search String” text field, click on the “Exact String” radio button, click on the ‘Arabic’ check box and then click on the ‘Search’ push button.  At the bottom of the results page, you’ll find the following:

(Note:  The highlighted, red and bolded words in this table are my emphasis on the correct word to choose for شهر.  The blue ones are in a plural form and don’t count.)

2-  Conclusion:

100s of examples had been given, in the past, that demonstrated the Glorious Quran’s Overwhelming Divine Miracles:

1-  With the number 19 and it’s multiples.

2-  In the same book, there are countless examples on how the numerical values of the Noble Verses that talk about certain subjects are equal.

3-  In the same book, countless examples were given on the way Words are drawn and spelled in the Glorious Quran, and the way certain characters are silenced in writing, and all of them being written in certain ways for certain specific topics and times, and them changing for the same words when speaking about another time-period and place.  The Miracle of Drawing the Words in the Glorious Quran, as Mr. Adnan Al-Refaei (عدنان الرفاعي) put it is a great Miracle that certainly and indisputably prove that the Glorious Quran’s Writing wasn’t also done by chance, and that the Glorious Quran’s drawing and picture indeed came from the Preserved Tablet in Heaven, as Allah Almighty mentioned in the Glorious Quran.

4-  In the same book, there are also countless examples on how counts of certain words match to certain scientific discoveries, such as counts of opposite words matching each others in the Glorious Quran, words’ ratios (such as land and sea in the Glorious Quran) matching what Science has calculated (ratio of land and sea in Science), and so on…

5-  Similarly, the count for Day in its pure form, and the count for Month in its pure form, in the Glorious Quran, came exactly to 365 and 12 respectively.  I do not believe that these overwhelming Numerical Miracles were put in the Glorious Quran by chance.

Indeed, all Praise and Glory are due to Allah Almighty Alone for making the Noble Quran and the Divine Inspirations that He Sent to Prophet Muhammad be the Perfect and Everlasting Miracle, for us humans, out of all of His Divine Miracles!  And may Allah Almighty send His Peace, Mercy and Blessings upon our Beloved and Blessed Prophet, Teacher and Role Model, Muhammad.  Ameen.
