What is the ruling on raising these kind of banners?

Question to Shaykh Al-Faadil Abul-Abbaas Aadil Mansoor:

As-Salaamoe alaikoem wa-Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu o Esteemed Shaykh may Allaah Bless you..

What is the ruling on raising these kind of banners? And saying it is the Banner of Islam and the Banner of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم or saying it is the seal of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم which he used to seal his letters with, which he wrote to the Sahabah and Kuffaar?

Answer:

Wa alaykoem as-Salaam wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuhu.

This banner in these times, is the banner which the Khawarij raise, those who declare the Muslims to be Kuffaar and kill them and who kill the people who have a covenant and safety (within the Muslim society) or the Dhimmies from among the Kuffaar,

And it has become one of their characteristics in this time and it is not the seal of the Prophet. Because the seal itself is not present at this moment, it fell in a well from the hand of Uthman رضي الله عنه.

And it is not the attribute of the Prophetic Seal as it is apparent from the statement of the explainer of the Hadith as Ibn Hadjr and others than him. According to what has been said; is that Muhammed is upon top, then Rasul and then Allah, contrary to what is present in the picture and banner.

Then, the Banner and Flag of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم has not its seal in it. His seal was only in his letters not in banners and flags.
