Police officers forcibly removed her passenger from the car by smashing the window and using a Taser gun. Now the family’s suing Hammond police for using excessive force. The passenger’s 14-year-old son recorded the incident on his mobile phone. The Hammond Police Department issued a two-page response saying the officers acted in the interest of their safety and within the law.
